Pastor: Pastor Craig W. Curtis*

Pastor Craig and his wife, Shelley, have served our church and community since 2000. Pastor Craig and Shelley have been with Village Missions for over 25 years and they have a rich history in our community. Pastor Craig grew up in Camp Creek and served as the Youth Pastor at the church from 1984-1989 following his graduation from Multnomah School of the Bible (now Multnomah University). Pastor Craig and Shelley met here and were married here and then they moved to pastor on the Southern Oregon Coast for nearly eleven years. They ministered at Fairview Community Church and McKinley Community Church, two rural churches near Coquille. They count it as a great blessing from God to return to Camp Creek and serve the Lord in this place. They desire to help fulfill Jesus' Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) as they follow the often quoted motto of Village Missions: "Preach the Word and love the people".

Stewart and Stephanie Baker VM Bio

My name is Stewart Baker, and my wife's name is Stephanie. We have been married for about 2 years. I grew up in Boise, Idaho and Stephanie grew up in Vancouver, Washington. Stephanie has known Jesus her whole life and has served the Lord in various capacities through out her life. I have known of Jesus my whole life, but I didn't start having a serious relationship with the Lord until my early twenties. After walking with Jesus for a while, I felt God was calling me into ministry. I attended the School of ministry, an intensive Bible college program, through Calvary Chapel. Following school I went on a couple missions trips to Amsterdam and Scotland and then was on staff at Calvary Chapel Boise, and Calvary Chapel Eagle with a variety of ministries. Stephanie and I were married in the fall of 2014.

We heard about Village Missions through a family neighbor who are retired Village Missionaries. We began praying about whether or not we should apply, and then God showed us to apply. Ever since the Lord opened all the right doors. We love the idea to "preach the Word and love the people." We are excited for our internship at Camp Creek. We look forward to meeting you guys and serving the Lord in Springfield.

God bless!

***Note: The Love's have finished their internship and are now serving at the Church in Azalea Or. and we hope to maintain a relationship with them!

Isaac and Andrea Love VM Bio

My name is Isaac Love and my wife’s name is Andrea and we are both from Yakima, WA. We were both raised in Christian homes and asked Jesus to forgive us of our sin and to be our Lord from a young age. After graduating from High School we both knew we wanted to serve God in some capacity but were not sure what that would look like. We were married in 2007 and promptly moved to California to participate in a pastoral training program. After completing my training there we were both led to attend Moody Bible Institute. Living in the heart of Chicago we attended a small Baptist church where we were able to serve alongside the pastor and his wife. The mutual encouragement we gave and received during this time helped lead us into full-time pastoral ministry.

After graduation we came back home and I served as a youth pastor intern for the summer of 2013. Afterward we were free to take the next step into full-time ministry. We were considering our options when my parents shared about VM with us. When we heard about VM’s emphasis of “Teaching the Word and Loving the People” and how they provide pastoral leadership for churches that would not otherwise receive it our hearts were refreshed and we began the process of applying.

We are excited to be interning at Camp Creek Church in Springfield, OR where Pastor Craig Curtis and his wife Shelley serve. We love the area and have enjoyed getting to know the people of the church body. This year is sure to be one of stretching and growing. God is sufficient to bring us through every challenge and blessing that this year will bring along with every year after.
